Yeah, no guards... and the vice dean is a terrible shot. If he really wanted him dead so bad, why not do it by hand? It's not like either of the two students could have stopped him. Hell it didnt even seem like they recognized him; "get the man who hurt grandpa"?
Favorite part is the fact that he just runs away after failing to do the exact same thing, in the exact same manner, that he called his subordinates trash for failing to do.
What I want to know is why MC wasn't lying in wait for an ambush, it should have been obvious what he was going to do. Perhaps is this just an elaborate setup to hammer the nail on his coffin? Somehow I doubt author/director thought it through that much.
